Words Have Power to Influence Beliefs and Impact Behaviors

Words have power to influence beliefs and impact behaviors.
Words give meanings to our subjective experiences.  Our view of life--and living--is often the result of how we give and receive words.  We use terms like “dialogue” and/or “communication.” In actuality, it is just the act of using words.

Each moment of our lives is determined by the positive and negative words we choose to share with every person we encounter.

Also, these same words we give and receive leave internal and external imprints upon ourselves and the greater world around us.

What kinds of words do we use?  A few of the ways we share with words is through stories, poems, songs, quotes, sayings--the list is endless!

Perhaps one of the most extensive methods of word sharing is through social media.  Here is my contribution to the wide world of words!

Plain Sight Cloaked

It’s not just about wrong and right,
An interloper arrived in plain sight,
Stole into my most intimate night,
Left me barren and unaware,
I was love-blind,
And, you were cloaked in plain sight.

I was robbed of my trust,
By stealth, you took all that was cherished!
All I had to give!
Taken--with depraved indifference….

Now I face unintended consequences,
As a looking-glass in a black box,
No one else, but I, can see,
When the box is opened,
Thief glares back at me.
